A Bit About Me

I have been working in mental health for over 15 years.  Much of my training has been in trauma informed care and trauma-reduction.  My interest and inspiration has brought me to explore the world of body based (somatic) interventions in the last few years.  My work has grown to be very holistic in nature, honoring the story we tell and also the story we are holding in high stress physiology.

My goal is to help you feel validated in very natural responses to past and present traumas, and to empower you to move toward the vision you have for yourself, moving through feeling stuck and/or aimless, and healing  the effects of adverse experiences.

Some goals that I hold for those that I work are::

  • Deepening your relationship to self

  • Strengthening your sense of connection to others

  • Reclaiming a sense of balance in your life

  • Expanding capacity to tolerate feelings or enhancing the ability to access emotions

  • Improving physical vitality and energy level

  • Learning to slow down and settle the nervous system to improve digestion, sleep, or overall health.

  • Reducing symptoms such as anxiety or depression, insomnia, IBS, digestive issues, and autoimmune issues
